Psychological Evaluations

Our psychological evaluations are designed specifically for public safety candidates.  We utilize industry-leading assessment tools that meet established public safety standards to generate reliable test data.  Our psychologists apply the data to develop and deliver a professional recommendation to the designated hiring authority.  Our goal is to support hiring authorities in building strong, reliable teams equipped to serve their communities with professionalism and integrity.

Each evaluation is conducted by our staff licensed clinical psychologists—experts in public safety applicant screening—who analyze the assessment data, conduct a comprehensive clinical interview, and provide a professional and clear recommendation to the designated hiring authority

The Pre-Employment Post Offer Psychological Evaluation is intended for use to determine if the candidate has the appropriate emotional stability to withstand the stresses associated with being in law enforcement or fire service and the psychological soundness to work within the department.

The Promotional Psychological Evaluation is intended for use to determine the candidate’s suitability for a promotion to a higher level role, within law enforcement or fire service.  This evaluation serves as a tool to determine if the candidate is prepared for the increased demands and responsibilities of the promotion.

The Fitness for Duty psychological evaluation is intended for use when an incumbent staff member displays behavior that would objectively indicate that, based on psychological factors, he or she is unable to safely and effectively carry our his/her essential job functions.
